I started writing this:
If they cannot or will not let us continue here, and will forward email addresses to each of us, we could form our own email ring to keep this going. To add new blood and various opinions, we could tell friends and acquaintances what we're doing and ask them to join our ring.
Just an idea to toss around.
And then this arrived...
LOOK WHAT JUST ARRIVED:
Hello DG13,
We've received several detailed and thoughtful private messages from members of your group saying how important the Reality Check discussions have been for you and why you don't want them to end.
That's so great to hear! So we will extend the life of DG13 for several more weeks, until February 21st so you can keep going while we evaluate whether it's possible for Reality Check to continue beyond that.
Reality Check has always been a collaboration between all of you who are participating and all of us who are trying to keep everything flowing smoothly. So we'll be asking for input from all active members as we try to figure out what can happen next. We look forward to that discussion!

what are we going to do about it? We have this additional time together. We have narrowed our posts recently. Can we work together to use the time to our advantage? What subjects do we want to discuss in greater depth?
I suggest that the Media Responsibility, and its follow-up Media Priority be one.
I would like more from us all on the responsibilities of legislators. I see a fine thread in 15 along that line. Maybe we could extend it to how we obtain the legislators we want, or need. I think that campaign reform is the place to start there.
I am very grateful to Reality Check that they see the need for this forum to continue. If we can provide suggestions to them in their deliberations about how it should be shaped in continuity, I think that they would appreciate it. That could be a thread for us, to be provided them on Feb 21.
Thoughts, for our consideration.
Regards,
Jim
3. Some Input for the RC

This forum has proven to be a very special means of communication because of your rule for civilized debate. It takes a while, via email, to find people around the country and the world to exchange ideas with, whereas this forum has the ability to attract people immediately. RC tosses us altogether, without any effort on our part, and allows us to mix and mingle or just observe.
The Internet has a very special quality where discussion and sharing of ideas is concerned...it allows each of us to complete an entire sentence (or tomes) without interruption. That is seldom found in public discourse.
Thanks RC. We really do appreciate being lab rats for your experiment.
